I like it, but the randomness of being forced to take a hit because of a poor draw seems a bit unfair, especially for players who might want to dodge taking any hits. Perhaps more inspiration from Gridcannon and adding a way to avoid a hit at a cost could be a bit better? I'm thinking, again, drawing from Gridcannon, having you either add armour to an enemy or a weakness to your own attacks. I'll playtest this rule and see how it feels and get back to you in an update in the replies!

I tried to extend this game by playing it with a Tarot deck. So far I included the following cards and extra rules: - All numbered attack cards from Ace to Ten (1 to 10) - All normal enemy cards from Page to King (11 to 14) - Chariot, Tower, Death, Devil (special enemies with 15 health) - Fool, Wheel of Forture, World (3 Jokers) - Strength (increase your attack power by 1) - Temperance (decrease enemy health by 1) - Lovers (After defeating a normal enemy, another normal enemy in an adjacent column is also defeated) There are a lot more Tarot cards which could add even more fun rules to the game.

The three of spades were both buried under the same pile with an eight of spades; only way to get to them would be to clear that entire column. I think the strategy is to open up two columns so you can move runs one card at a time by utilizing the empty columns. Seems like only playing through the pile once ensures you can't clear all the cards so maybe the point is to just see how many cards you can place on the aces. I'm not a huge fan of games like this where the outcome seems largely determined by the deal. Some luck will exist in any game but I prefer games with a higher skill component.

You should say, "keep your 'eyes.' But what you say is common place. I just find it queer to hear, "keep your 'eye'.

just wanted to say these videos are really cool. i like the idea of interesting genres of playing cards, dice, and pencil and paper games that aren't just solitaire. I watched the video on scoundrel, and I will be trying that out as a cool new single player card game. Very Happy RUclips recommended you to me, will be checking more games out soon.

Official Uno Spin-Offs have Discard All Cards, but the cards all go below it, meaning no abilities activate at all. So you could choose to play the 0 like that as well. Great video!

I like the set up of this vs the original version of 4 rows. It reminds me of Pyramid with having to unlock cards I prob wouldn’t use the Hits. I already try to be economical with card usage. I could always try it And interesting aspect of the kings giving you some perks

I really like this game. I also play Clear the Castle/ Dungeon following your video on that (and will check out your V2 of the game next) I enjoy themed decks for certain games. This one would lend itself to an interesting Frankendeck using certain aspects to have the suits match their action (as close as possible at least)

I used your video to make my own instruction sheet to teach my family how to play. It has been years, so I never knew there were cards with the point values marked (just ordered Bicycle Canasta cards from amazon for $11.00). Watched a couple of other videos first, and they were not clear, not prepared, and went off point a lot. Your explanation was terrific! Thanks so much!

Its really interesting. I am still learning. However, I didnot understand the Hit part. I can take up to 5 hits? 1 hit = set of 3 cards? or when you take a hit, the cards on your hand that is useless is considered to be hit. That can be any amount of card. 1,2 or the whole set which is 3.

Please I have a question I am playing it with my husband, we are 2 players so in the case the total is 21 and I have only numbers and the pink card ( which mean I will play again , which doesn’t mean anything because I have only numbers )do I put it then loose a life or just loose a life and go back to 0 ?

I would like to know why all the instructions are not properly listed in the game. Such as on timer mode if you don't put your card down before the timer you should take it back? It doesn't SAY that in the actually game rules. Why. This started a huge fight during game last night!!!! 😮 Pls reply!

Sorry for seeing this and commenting four whole years later but thank you. Gave me somthing to do lol. I will say I allowed myself to stack like in normal solitaire (let’s say if I had a 6 then If I put a 5 on it they would be a “pair” so I could either move them together or take the bottom one and move it by itself) which is the only way I could win

Why the idea of ricoche was used in the design of the game?

Could you technically move that jack and 10 up to the queen and then move the other queen over to the exposed king, then you would have a blank space to put the king. Then you would have a pile with only a king and a 2 and maybe you could do something with that? Could you do that?

First time playing this game and my deck is almost empty, I have a ten diamonds and I been drawing 8 and 10 hearts but I been calculating points to see if I fight monsters head on and heal then fight them with my weapon to take small damage and so far it's been a blast killing everything. Honestly since it's a dungeon type game I left in my two jokers to play the role as poison dart to automatically kill any monster I want, just to make the game more interesting

What’s the benefit of bidding? It seems that there’s only a downside and if you don’t manage to pull off your bid you just have negative points. Why bid at all?
